Music Festivals To Look Out For In 2021
Covid-19 has put a halt to many plans. Concerts and sports games were canceled, and even travel has gained new restrictions. 2020 was a year of waiting and seeing, and now it’s time to get the country back in motion under safe precautions. For music lovers, we can expect to see some festivals coming back in 2021. According to This Song Is Sick, below are the 10 music festivals that are tentatively scheduled for next year.
The first one is Outside Lands, scheduled for August 6–8 in San Francisco, California. Tyler the Creator, Lizzo, and Tame Impala are some of the headlining acts. Next is Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain. This Festival is considered by many to be one of the best music festivals in the world and will take place June 2–6. The most exciting acts featured are Jamie Foxx, Young Thug, and Gorillaz. Third, we have “Summer Camp” in Chillicothe, Illinois. It will take place during May 29–31 and will feature various sets from Three 6 Mafia to Pigeons Playing Ping Pong.
Next, we have Riot Fest from September 17–19. This Festival is also in Illinois, but Chicago this time. This Festival will bring out a lot of nostalgia as it features acts such as My Chemical Romance, Lupe Fiasco, and The Smashing Pumpkins. Imagine Festival takes place September 17–19 in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia. This Festival is an EDM lover’s dream, landing headliners Illenium and Kaskade, and Gryffin. We’ll see Buku Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana, on March 19 and 20. The lineup is not yet confirmed, but more details will be released soon.
The following festivals are also currently without a lineup, but soon more information about them will start to be available as the dates approach. Hangout Fest on May 15–17 will be a huge beach festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. EDC Las Vegas will have ravers living their ultimate lives in a city that never stops partying. This Festival will happen May 21–23. Ultra in Miami, Florida, will be sure to set the spring off right. This Festival takes place during Miami Music Week on March 26–28. Lastly, Electric Forest will return to Rothbury, Michigan. It will be a highly anticipated come back after missing their Decade One celebration for 2020. The dates are not yet finalized, but we can expect to see this Festival in late June as usual.
