The gaming industry has responded in kind by producing some hits over the last year, and 2021 hopes to be filled with golden content for gamers. Whether you’re dedicated to gaming on console, pc, or mobile — chances are there’s a gem coming for your this year. Here are a few of the most hotly anticipated games alongside a few games already released that have sparked a ton of buzz.

Outriders (PC)

Outriders received critical and widespread acclaim in the first few months of its existence. With a 15 hour campaign and plenty of multiplayer opportunities, this game is sure to keep your attention, and you’ll get your money’s worth. While you may have played plenty of games set in post-apocalyptic wastelands, Outriders provides a fresh spin to the genre with seamless mechanics and thought-provoking narratives. The world comprises 17 unique and engaging regions where you progress in a classic gaming manner: unlock areas, find the boss, beat the boss. A tried and trued storytelling mechanic, the level-up nature of Outriders is a blast and definitely worth the time and energy.

New Pokemon Snap

New Pokemon Snap is capitalizing on the nostalgia trend by revamping a beloved N64 game. Pokemon, in general, has expanded its narrative to introduce the intelligence and personalities of each Pokemon, and that’s undoubtedly accessible in Snap! For those who don’t love the aggression of stealing pokemon from their natural habitat, this game provides a fun alternative where the only capturing you do it via your camera. While outdoor spaces and wildlife are less accessible, exploring digital terrain and digital animals is an excellent facsimile of the experience of going out for a walk.

Resident Evil Village

The latest edition in the zombie shoot-em-up franchise is sure to leave you quaking in your boots. Resident Evil Village brings the villains into the light, as you find out right away as protagonist Ethan Winters. Through Ethan, we are forced to explore a creepy old English village, and all the horrors are lurking within. Sure to provide more than one good scare throughout, this game is a worthy successor to the franchise and upholds its decades-long tradition of slow, shambling horror.
